LG Electronics case study
LG Electronics is a World
leader in information technology products. It manufactures more than 25%
of the Worlds CD-ROM drives and is amongst the top 40 global corporations.
So when it came to advertising
its new range of optical storage systems and flat screen monitors, LG Electronics
wanted an agency that could handle the challenge. Three
advertising agencies were asked to pitch for the business.
Lorna Finch, from LG Electronics,
explains: "We were quite clear what we wanted and our brief was very
brief. We told each of the agencies that we wanted a corporate-looking
advert for our flat monitor products.
"When each of them came
back to us it was clear that Displayer has done a lot of background research.
They really understood the product, our company and how we wanted to project
our brand image.
"Their designs and copy-writing
were fantastic. Displayer had really pulled the stops out. They came out
head and shoulders above the rest."
Displayer won the pitch and
full colour advertising campaigns have now been launched in the PC consumer
press. Displayers work for LG Electronics is currently on display
in the pages of PC World, Computer Shopper, PC Pro, Computer Buyer, What
PC and Mac World
